I met Lucas when we were in college. John was jealous. I married Lucas, but John grew close to my family, especially my father. The birth of my twins, Mary and James, was the happiest day of my life. Dad was an influential judge. He helped John to become the mayor of the city. They both grew powerful, which made Lucas suspicious. Being a journalist, Lucas investigated my dad and John for corruption. I refused to believe they committed any crimes. Eventually, they all turned against each other. One night, the police called our house to tell us dad was dead. Someone had murdered him! The police found evidence implicating Lucas in the killing and arrested him. I was alone, so John stepped in to take care of me and the kids. I grew to hate Lucas. I eventually divorced him and married John. Now I have learned Lucas is out of prison. His sentence ended a few weeks ago. I'm going to go home and check on my kids to make sure they're OK.
